  Site Evaluation Tool
Rock Paper Sun distributes the ACME Solar Site Evaluation Tool (ASSET) in Canada.
  • The ASSET tool is comprised of a digital camera, a precision camera mounting system, and sophisticated software
  • Software is used to join a series of 7, 9, 14 or 18 digital pictures into a panorama
  • The sun's path is digitally added to the panorama.
  • The solar path is analyzed by the ASSET software to determine the expected hours of sunlight that will hit the target site for all months of the year.
  • This analysis allows the solar installer or home owner to visually see the amount of sunshine available to a given location year-round.  This is useful in making location choices, as well as planing the install or removal of trees or other structures.

Easy to use

  • A set of pictures is easily taken from any location in under a minute.

  • Once one or more sets of images are in the camera, they are easily transferred to a laptop or home computer for on-site analysis.

  • Images are saved in separate files for inclusion in reports or presentations.

  • Solar shading data can be directly used by 3rd party detailed analysis tools.

Cost effective

  • $549 Canadian + taxes and shipping - Contact us if interested, or if you have any questions.

  • This is considerably cheaper than other fully electronic options such as the SolarEye(tm), and competitive with the Solar Pathfinder(tm) product while providing much more visually appealing results - see http://www.we-llc.com/ASSET_intro.html.
