  • chemical analysis of glycol in closed-loop systems should be performed at least every 3 years.  Replaced if necessary.

    • $50 for user owned systems purchased from Rock Paper Sun
    • $50-$100 for 3rd party systems.
  • any new leaks, noises, or visible changes to hardware should be investigated ASAP.
  • anti-scald and thermal protection devices should be inspected regularly.
• Site Evaluations for all types of active & passive solar installs.
  • determine shading on various potential sites for buildings, windows, collectors, pools, greenhouses, gardens, etc.
  • perform energy analysis based on shading, location, historical weather patterns, and products being considered.
  • determine most appropriate location for solar related installs based on structural, accessibility as well as shading considerations.
  • $50-$100 for a site evaluation, this cost will be deducted from any resulting system purchase.
• Energy Analysis for various alternate energy products
  • Perform technical analysis and simulation to determine energy production/savings of various products.
  • Provide economic analysis to determine long-term costs, savings and profits.
  • Design/Install home or site monitoring to determine energy usage either pre or post install of energy effecient equipment.
